The fiscal year of the WVSL is July 1 to June 30.  Dues are payable by June 1st of each year for the coming year.  Dues are $35.00 annually or $350.00 for life membership. 

Active members must serve on at least one committee, pay annual or lifetime dues and purchase an adult season ticket to a WVSO Concert Series — the Symphonic, "Symphony on the Go," or Pops series.  Instead of purchasing one of these three WVSO Concert series, members may purchase three of the following four options:  Opera ticket, Nutcracker ticket, Montclaire Series or Family Series.

New members are welcome any time during the year.  They and continuing members who have not done so, please send in $35.00 dues or pay the one-time Lifetime Member dues of $350.00 to Ruth Joseck at 882 Sherwood Road, Charleston, WV 25314.  Corrections and additions to the Roster will be published in our newsletter, The Score, which is published four times during the September through May time period and posted online.  The Score will only be mailed by US mail to those without emails.  Revised names of members and committee membership lists will be posted regularly on the web site  (www.wvsl.org).

Invitation to Become a Member of the
West Virginia Symphony League

The West Virginia Symphony League (WVSL) Executive Board extends to you an invitation to join us in our efforts to support the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.  Our initiatives provide funds for the orchestra’s operating budget and stimulate community interest in the orchestra through educational and outreach events. 

We have four primary fundraising events.  They are the Fashion Show in the fall; the Symphony Ball at the end of the year; the Golf Tournament in spring; and Symphony Sunday in June. Additional fundraising events include a Teddy Bear Tea, use of Kroger Cards, Melonious merchandise sales, a Symphony Tailgate party, candy sales at performances, auctions, and possibly other events such as a garden party or winter event.

We offer three levels of membership:  1) Active,  2) Lifetime,  and 3) Sustainer.  Sustainers must have been prior active members and met policy requirements for Sustainer status.  It is required that everyone participate in our annual Symphony Sunday fundraiser and serve on a minimum of one additional committee. more information on membership is described in the Bylaws and Policies sections.

We welcome new members to the WVSL all year long.  Please fill out our membership form (click here) and mail it to our treasurer Ruth Joseck at 882 Sherwood Road, Charleston, WV 25314.  with your annual dues.  Direct any questions you may have to our membership chairs, whose emails are on the membership form.
